CONTRACT EXTENSIONS: Sean O'Brien and Josh Ioane have penned contract extensions with Connacht Rugby.

Connacht Rugby have announced that Josh Ioane and Sean O'Brien have penned contract extensions with the club.

Out-half Ioane joined from the Chiefs in New Zealand on a one-year deal last summer. He has scored 454 points including two tries in his 10 appearances to date for the province.

Prior to arriving to the province Ioane made 72 appearances in Super Rugby and was capped by the All Blacks in 2019.

O'Brien, who can play either blindside flanker or number eight, arrived from Leinster ahead of the 2023/24 season. He has scored three tries in 13 appearances to date.

Ioane has penned a two-year deal with the province while O'Brien has signed on for the 2025/26 campaign.
