Shane Daly is facing a ā€œchallengeā€ to be back for Munster before the end of the season, Ian Costello has admitted following a serious hamstring injury sustained on Ireland A duty eight days ago.

The in-form back-three player was hurt making a last-ditch tackle against England A in Bristol and speaking after Munster’s URC loss at home to Edinburgh last Friday night, interim head coach Costello said: ā€œIt's a nasty enough hamstring injury that will keep him out for a while. We don't expect them back, certainly not through the next block.ā€Ā
