England head coach Steve Borthwick has pinpointed the introduction of Jack Crowley and the rest of Ireland’s bench as the crucial difference between his side and a host team that pulled away to win comfortably after a tough first-half.

Ireland trailed the visitors 10-5 at the interval, failing time and again to profit from visits to the opposition ’22 before finally finding greater purchase in the England half and securing a bonus-point win in their Six Nations opener.
