Scotland captain Sione Tuipulotu ruled out of Six Nations
RULED OUT: Scotland's captain Sione Tuipulotu is ruled out of the Six Nations after picking up a pectoral injury.
Scotland captain Siona Tuipulotu has been ruled out of the Guinness Six Nations after picking up an injury during a training session with Glasgow Warriors last week.
Tuipulotu sustained a pectoral muscle injury and will undergo surgery this week. He is expected to return to action before the end of the season.
Speaking after the loss to Harlequins, Glasgow head coach Franco Smith said it was a "freakish injury".

Rory Darge and Finn Russell will co-captain Scotland following an injury to Sione Tuipulotu. Scott Cummings will also likely miss the tournament through injury.

Scott Cummings sustained an arm fracture during Glasgow Warriors Champions Cup game againster Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop at the weekend. He is likely to miss the tournament and will await further assessment to determine when he can return to play.
Rory Darge and Finn Russell will co-captain the Six Nations in Tuipulotu's absence. The duo led the side in the 2024 championship in a famous victory over Wales and the 30-21 win over England in Murrayfield.
