Robbie Henshaw believes two tough Champions Cup pool games against French and English opposition represent the ideal preparation for Ireland’s Six Nations three-in-a-row title bid beginning next month.

The Leinster centre was part of a victorious side that edged La Rochelle 16-14 in a titanic European clash last Sunday at Stade Marcel Deflandre and is now preparing for a similarly tough challenge in the form of Bath, the English Premiership leaders who visit Aviva Stadium this Saturday in the final round of Champions Cup pool action.
