Eleven appearances into the campaign and Mike Haley has already equalled the best try tally of his seven-season spell at Munster. It is the type of form that puts him on one of the high points of the province’s rollercoaster ride that 2024-25 has become. Despite the accompanying troughs, the 30-year-old is loving every minute, so much so that he is looking to extend his time in red beyond this season.
He glided past the 100-appearance mark last March in his 100th start, making him a centurion for both Sale Sharks, whom he left at the age of 24 in 2017, and Munster, and while 200 caps seems a long way off, the Preston-born pro with a granny from Tralee is hoping a new deal can further his time with a club that clearly means so much to him.
