Munster head coach Graham Rowntree said his side's display in Parma wasn’t good enough and that it would take him all night to go through all that was wrong with it.

Rowntree said he didn’t want to take anything away from Zebre’s historic result, but he was livid with what his side produced.

Munster had led the game 28-15 at half-time but then conceded four second half tries as they lost 42-33. They will travel home with a try bonus point.

“I could be here until it gets dark talking about things we need to do better,” said the Munster head coach.

“That wasn’t good enough from us. We lost our way in the third quarter.

“A spirited, brilliant performance from Zebre. Credit to them, they didn’t stop playing. They took their opportunities.

“They were great at the breakdown, credit to Zebre.”
