Jean Kleyn has returned to full training following an eye injury as Munster prepare for their opening BKT URC clash this Saturday against Connacht (5.30pm).

Munster issued a squad update ahead of the weekend's clash in Thomond Park with Kleyn along with Ethan Coughlan (leg) returning to full training. 

Kleyn was sidelined with an eye injury he picked up last November while Coughlan has recovered from an injury he picked up last month against Bath.

Liam Coombes and Jack Daly are completing return to play protocols with the view of returning to training this week having picked up head injuries against Gloucester earlier this month.

Dave Kilcoyne has a shoulder injury and is increasing his training load with the aim to returning to full team training.

Diarmuid Kilgallen is undergoing rehabiliation with the medical team on a leg injury. 

Brian Gleeson (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Tom Ahern (ankle), Rory Scannell (ankle), Paddy Patterson (knee), Edwin Edogbo (achilles) and Roman Salanoa (knee) continuing to rehab following their respective injuries.
