Munster went down to Bath in the province's first outing ahead of the new season, with different teams used by both sides in each half.
The home side had first-half tries by Austin Emens and Jasper Spandler, but it was Munster who led at the break.
John Hodnett went over early on to set the tone. Bath hit back with Emens' first try for the club and Spandler took advantage of Gavin Coombes' yellow card to go over from a rolling maul.

But the visitors rallied well and tries by Shay McCarthy and Diarmuid Barron put them 21-12 up at break.
Munster's second team failed to add to the scoring, however, and Jaco Coetzee and Tyler Offiah had tries in the opening 10 minutes of the second period, giving Bath a lead they didn't relinquish.
Tries: Austin Emens (13), Jasper Spandler (21), Jaco Coetzee (43), Tyler Offiah (48); Conversions: Orlando Bailey (14), Finn Russell (49);
Tries: John Hodnett (6), Shay McCarthy (26), Diarmuid Barron (39); Conversions: Billy Burns (7, 27, 40)
