Ireland, runners-up last year and now firmly one of the tournament favourites, can book a semi-final spot in the World Rugby U-20 Championships when they take on Australia Tuesday afternoon (1pm Irish time).

Australia’s surprise loss to Italy on Thursday might make them less formidable but this clash remains a winner-takes-all encounter at the Athlone Sports Stadium, the 34,000 capacity ground that is home to the Cape Town Spurs soccer team.
