Top 14: Bru leads Bordeaux to first Top 14 decider against Toulouse

Yannick Bru has guided French upstart club Bordeaux to a first-ever Top 14 final in their 17-year history in his first season in charge at the club, after they beat Stade Francais 22-20 at the Matmut Atlantique stadium in their home city.

Union Bordeaux Bègles, to use their formal Sunday name, were formed in 2006 by the merger of two former French championship-winning sides, Stade Bordelais and Club Athlétique Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde, who had lifted the title nine times between them.
