As heartened as Richie Murphy has been by Ulster’s rejuvenation since he succeeded the ousted Dan McFarland as head coach, the new man in charge is refusing to dream big now his team has reached the URC knockout stages.

Saturday’s 29-24 loss at Munster ended a four-game winning run for the northerners but their position in the end of season play-offs and next season’s Champions Cup had been assured with the previous weekend’s victory at home to Leinster.
