Paul O'Connell: 'We’re nowhere near our ceiling'

The Ireland forwards coach believes there is plenty still to be done for Ireland to fulfil its potential under head coach Andy Farrell.

Even Paul O’Connell knows his limitations and one of them, as a young participant in the ALDI Play Rugby National Festival at Aviva Stadium reminded him last week, is tag rugby.

The Ireland forwards coach pulled on the boots to join in a game of tag with some of the 350 children who had come through the long-running Play Rugby Program to take part in its annual climax on the hallowed turf but he admitted he has long struggled to get to grips with the finer points of the non-contact version of the game he graced at the coalface for 14 years between 2001 and 2015.
