A young Ulster side will learn from their chastening 53-14 Challenge Cup quarter-final defeat at Clermont as focus switches to a battle for the URC play-offs, Richie Murphy insisted.
The interim head coach could only watch his side wilt under a hot Spring sun at Stade Marcel Michelin, unable to find a response to Clermont’s direct power game as they shipped 33 unanswered points in the second half.
