Munster will pack the pain of their Champions Cup pool defeat to Northampton Saints when they travel to England this weekend but Jack Crowley admitted it is primarily the lessons of last Saturday night which will need to be learned ahead of a tough Round of 16 knockout game.

Eleven weeks will have passed when the URC champions take to the field at Franklin’s Gardens on Sunday lunchtime looking to avenge their 26-23 Thomond Park defeat to 14-man Saints. Yet despite racking up six victories on the bounce since that January disaster in the Limerick rain, four of them vital league victories, the most recent success has left Munster needing to answer some difficult questions.
