'He's been there, seen it all and worn the badge' - Farrell backs Murray after week of online abuse

The Munster scrum-half has had to deal with a social media backlash after defeat in London.

Andy Farrell praised Conor Murray’s mental toughness as he rounded on social media trolls for the abuse directed at his players in the wake of Ireland’s 23-22 defeat to England last Saturday.

The levels of online abuse directed towards Irish players after their Twickenham loss was highlighted by former Munster and Ireland wing Andrew Conway when he used his column on the official Six Nations website to comment: “The level of negativity and disrespect that’s come some of the players' way after a one-point loss at Twickenham is staggering.”
