Ireland playing 'wait and see' after Antoine Frisch called up by France

French coach Fabien Galthié has now called Frisch, whose games for Emerging Ireland two years ago do not tie him down to this country, up to Les Bleus squad for their last Six Nations game of 2024.

Ireland assistant coach Simon Easterby says it will be a case of ‘wait and see’ in terms of Antoine Frisch’s Test future in the event that the Munster man does not get capped for France against England this weekend.

Frisch is French-born and Irish-qualified (through an Irish grandmother) and moved to Munster from Bristol Bears after seven years playing his club rugby in France with a view to ultimately wearing the green jersey on the international stage.
