Six Nations showdown: Andy Farrell primes Ireland for 'war of attrition' with Wales

Andy Farrell has warned red-hot favourites Ireland to write off winless Wales at their peril when the two teams meet in their Guinness Six Nations clash at Aviva Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Ireland, unbeaten heading into this third round of the 2024 championship following bonus-point victories in France and at home to Italy, are by common consensus marching inexorably towards a second consecutive Grand Slam while Warren Gatland is at the start of a rebuilding mission with a relatively inexperienced Welsh squad that has been edged out by Scotland and England.
