Andy Farrell has challenged new Ireland full-back Ciaran Frawley to make the most of his opportunity in his first Guinness Six Nations start and perform to his potential against Wales at Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

Frawley, 26, is set to win his third Ireland cap and start for the first time after replacing a still-injured Hugo Keenan in the number 15 jersey as head coach Farrell also recalls flankers Josh van der Flier and captain Peter O’Mahony, centre Bundee Aki, scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park, lock Tadhg Beirne to the side. That quintet all missed the 36-0 round-two home win over Italy on February 9, a game which saw Keenan go down with a knee injury in the second half.
