Andy Farrell has ramped up the pressure on his Ireland squad as competition for selection intensifies ahead of the defending champions’ Guinness Six Nations home clash with Wales.

The 2023 Grand Slam winners have collected maximum points from the opening two rounds of this season’s championship having notched their 10th consecutive victory in the competition with Sunday’s 36-0 demolition of Italy at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium. Next up are the Welsh and a chance to equal the England’s record Six Nations winning run under Eddie Jones from 2015-17 when Warren Gatland’s side come to town a week on Saturday.
