Graham Rowntree has urged his Munster team to play with ambition and get a sell-out Páirc Uí Chaoimh crowd on its feet when they face a like-minded Crusaders side this evening in a historic clash of the URC and Super Rugby champions.

While the contest is a pre-season outing for the New Zealanders ahead of their attempt to win an eight Super Rugby title in a row in 2024, and Munster are keeping their wheels turning as the URC breaks to accommodate the Six Nations, 40,855 tickets sold suggest the province’s support base is not taking this meeting lightly, and neither is Rowntree.
