Jack O'Donoghue out for three to four months but won't require surgery on knee
Jack O'Donoghue leaves the field to receive medical attention fduring URC match against Connacht.
Back row Jack O'Donoghue is out of action for three or four months, Munster confirmed Tuesday - but he has avoided the need for surgery on a knee injury which will be 'managed conservatively'.
O'Donoghue picked up a serious knock in Munster's 22-9 loss to Connacht on New Year's Day, after a clear out at a ruck injured his knee in the process.
New signing from Crusaders, Oli Jager, will be examined later in the week with a view to involvement in Saturday's final and decisive Champions Cup pol clash at home to Northampton.
Jack Daly returns to training this week after a spell on the sidelines due to an ankle injury. Both Cian Hurley and Mike Haley are also expected to return to the field in the coming weeks. Hurley has been absent due to an ankle and achilles problem while Haley has been out with hip issues.
