Munster trio face surgery threat as Rowntree counts cost of Leinster loss
Munster face the prospect of three frontline players potentially requiring surgery following a bruising St Stephen’s Day URC derby defeat at home to Leinster, although both Tadhg Beirne and Conor Murray are available to face Connacht in Galway next Monday.
Hooker Diarmuid Barron, academy lock Edwin Edogbo and Ireland loosehead prop Dave Kilcoyne are all set for decisions in the coming days on the possibility of surgery for their respective injuries sustained in last Tuesday night’s 9-3 Thomond Park defeat.
