Dozens of current and former Irish women’s internationals have written an astonishingly hard-hitting letter to the Irish government to say that they have “lost all trust and confidence in the IRFU and its leadership".

The correspondence comes on the back of a traumatic spell for women’s rugby which has incorporated the failure to qualify for next year’s World Cup, the Donnybrook changing facilities controversy, and some tone-deaf remarks made by IRFU employees.
