Cian Healy could be out for a long time after this incident against Toulon
Cian Healy is facing the prospect of a long spell on the sidelines.
The loosehead prop has been summoned to appear before an independent disciplinary hearing in Paris this Thursday after he was cited for striking Toulon hooker Guilhem Guirado with his knee during Sunday's European Champions Cup defeat to the French side.
Healy was sin-binned for the incident in the 26th minute but the Citing Commissioner, John Byett, has decided that the offence deserves further investigation.
If he's found guilty, Healy will be facing a minimum ban of three weeks, although suspensions for striking with the knee can go as high as a year.
Meanwhile, Leinster have added scrum-half Nick McCarthy to their European squad for the remainder of their Champions Cup campaign.
Back-rower Jack Conan is the player who has to make-way.
