VIDEO: Joe Schmidt gives latest update on Conor Murray

Ireland coach Joe Schmidt has said Conor Murray should be available for the Rugby World Cup, despite being knocked out in today's warm-up game against England today.

There was huge concern for Murray when he appeared to be knocked out cold tackling England prop Joe Marler.

He was immediately put into the recovery position at the time but was soon back on his feet, and taken off for a head injury assessment.

Ireland's Head Coach said the Munster scrum-half will go through the concussion protocols before coming back into the squad for the World Cup.

Schmidt said: "Conor's good, he went through all the head injury assessment successfully, but because he was knocked down it was pertinent to leave him off the pitch.

"He will go through the return of play protocols which should see him fully fit for the start of the World Cup."
