O’Brien returns; Leinster make nine changes for Champions Cup quarter-final

Sean O'Brien staarts for Leinster on Saturday.

Leinster Rugby Head Coach Matt O'Connor has made nine changes in total from the team that drew with the Glasgow Warriors in the PRO12 last weekend.

Three of those changes are in the backs with Rob Kearney, one of their returning 6 Nations, coming in at full back. Fergus McFadden, who scored Leinster's first try last Friday, continues on the right wing with Luke Fitzgerald coming onto the left.

Ian Madigan, who kicked 14 points last weekend, retains his place at inside centre and is again partnered by Ben Te'o at 13.

Jimmy Gopperth continues at out-half while Isaac Boss, introduced from the bench last weekend, starts at 9.

O’Connor has made six changes in the pack. It features an all new front row of Cian Healy, Sean Cronin and Mike Ross while Devin Toner comes into the second row alongside Mike McCarthy.

Jamie Heaslip starts at number eight and will captain the side. On the flanks, Jordi Murphy continues at blindside while Sean O’Brien comes in at openside.

O’Brien played in 4 of Ireland’s Six Nations fixtures, but this will be his first appearance for Leinster in 2015.
