Allez les Bleus: Ireland - France relations at an all-time high

With Ireland needing the French rugby team to help them secure an incredible second Six Nations title in a row, good feeling between the two sporting nations is at it’s highest in years.

Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll was one of the first to offer his support after Ireland’s 30 point victory in Murrayfield.

It was just the start of a wave of pro-French sentiment rushing through the Irish rugby community.

Irish golfer Shane Lowry happily declared for France.

Existing connections between the two countries were mobilised.

Omens were seen everywhere

As a country we decided that if France prevent England scoring the necessary points all would be forgiven for that handball.

At half-time the score is England 27 France 15. All Ireland need is for France to keep the margin to within 26 points.
