Luke Marshall returns to the Ulster starting 15 for the first time since his knee injury in October as one of the three changes to the side for their Champions Cup match against Scarlets on Sunday.

The Ireland international starts at inside centre alongside Darren Cave, who this week signed a new contract to keep him at the province until at least 2018.

The other changes are as a result of injuries to Wiehahn Herbst and Nick Williams. Roger Wilson is moving to number eight and Clive Ross is starting at openside flanker.

Declan Fitzpatrick starts at tighthead, and is joined in the front row by captain Rory Best and Callum Black.

Ulster team in full: L Ludik; T Bowe, D Cave, L Marshall, C Gilroy, I Humphreys, R Pienaar; C Black, R Best (Capt), D Fitzpatrick, D Tuohy, F vd Merwe, R Diack, C Ross, R Wilson.

Replacements: R Herring, A Warwick, B Ross, A O’Connor, M McComish, P Marshall, M Heaney, M Allen.
