The Leinster and Ireland prop asked “lap of honour?”, appearing to refer to the Munster players going to the sidelines to thank their travelling support for making the trip to England.

The comment was seen as a dig by some Munster fans and they were very quick to respond to the player, with several getting in jibes at Leinster at the same time.

Even the official Munster Rugby twitter account weighed in on the discussion.

Among those who responded was Jean-Marie Stander, wife of Munster’s Man of the Match CJ Stander. She too suggested that as a Leinster player Healy might not understand the connection between the Munster team and their supporters.

Healy quickly rowed back on the comment in a second tweet, insisting the tweet was “not a stab at the lads at all”.

Think that was the right move Cian, Ireland’s provincial rugby rivalry is still strong and these Munster fans have long memories.
