Irish players buy popular rugby pub in Dublin

Four Irish internnational rugby players have teamed up to buy a well-known Dublin pub near the Aviva.

The four Leinster players Sean O'Brien, Jamie Heaslip and brothers Rob and Dave Kearney have clubbed together around €1.35m along with Dublin publican Noel Anderson, to purchase the D4 pub, Bellamy's.

A pub went on the market in January and its sale was recently agreed for almost half a million more than its original asking price.

Mr Anderson said he and the four rugby stars expect to plough a lot of cash into the pub's overhaul when the sale is finalised.
