Video: Wallaby rugby player delivers one of the best sporting interviews ever

There were a few remarkable things about the Western Force’s 31-29 Super Rugby victory over the Highlanders on Saturday, most notably wing Nick Cummins’ hilarious post-match interview.

The Force’s narrow victory extended their winning streak against the New Zealand outfit to an incredible six-in-a-row despite being one of the weaker sides in the competition having finished third from bottom last year and one position worse off in 2012.

The game also served up an impressive comeback from the Highlanders which ultimately fell just short but provided some great entertainment for the supporters, as the home-side nearly made up the 15 point deficit that separated the sides with 25 minutes to go.

Despite failing to get on the score sheet, it was the Force’s international winger Nick Cummins who stole the show with a slang-laden post-game analysis that confused and entertained in equal measure.

It can’t be said that the big wing, affectionately known as the Honey Badger, doesn’t have previous with this sort of behaviour either, as you can see below.

With big hits and an in impressive try-scoring record on the pitch and a tendency to produce interviews at the more peculiar end of the scale off it, we’ll be keeping a keen eye on Cummins’ exploits in future.
