VIDEO: O'Driscoll at the centre of everything as Ireland lead at half-time
Ireland lead Italy 17-7 at half-time - with man-of-the-moment Brian O’Driscoll setting up both tries against Italy at the Aviva Stadium.
After an emotional singing of the national anthem on his final international appearance in Dublin, the record-breaking Irish number 13 was in impressive form as his clever offload set up Leinster compatriot Jonathan Sexton for the opening try.
However, his wayward fly-hack gifted a run-in for Italy’s Leonardo Sarto.
Sexton slotted a penalty to wrestle back Ireland’s lead, after Reddan scampered close from a scrum-base break.
O’Driscoll made up for his error later with some deft passing that sent Andrew Trimble home.
