13 injuries that sum up BOD's commitment

Sorry Brian, look away now.

We had the idea of doing something a bit different to all the other Brian O'Driscoll tributes, so we decided to look at some of the times BOD has put his body on the line for Ireland's cause.

1. Ireland v Barbarians, Lansdowne Road, 28 May 2000. This was just a friendly!

2. Six Nations, Ireland v England, October 2001. Whereas, this definitely wasn't a friendly.

3. Six Nations, Ireland v Scotland, 27 March, 2004. Don't know if they're checking his neck or fixing his hair in this one, to be honest.

4. Six Nations, France v Ireland, 11 February, 2006. Ow, stop doing that!

5. Six Nations, Ireland v Italy, 17 March 2007. This one ruined his Paddy's Day!

6. Six Nations, Ireland v Wales, 8 March 2008. Look at the pain on his poor face.

7. Six Nations, Ireland v England, 28 February 2009. Grand Slam year! That wasn't the only slam he took that year.

Poor Brian seems to have been picking them up a lot recently.

8. Six Nations, Wales v Ireland, 2 February 2013. He's spilt his own blood for Ireland too.

9. Six Nations, Ireland v Wales, 10 February 2013. Just a week after his injury above, he's back in the wars.

10. Six Nations, Ireland v France, 9 March 2013. And again a few weeks after that.

11. November International, Ireland v Australia, 16 November 2013. An overall disappointing day for Brian in that disastrous defeat to the Aussies last year.

12. Six Nations, Ireland v Wales, February 2014. Even after all these years of big hits, he's still able to pick himself up and play on. That's more than can be said for Welshman, Scott Williams, who limped off afterwards.

13. British and Irish Lions Tour, New Zealand, June 25, 2005. And, of course, we'll never forget the infamous speartackle he suffered in the Lions Tour to New Zealand in 2005.

Thanks Brian, enjoy your rest, you deserve it!
