Leinster getting back down to business, says Murphy

Leinster kicking coach Richie Murphy insists the province cannot rest on their laurels after their latest Heineken Cup win at the weekend.

The three-time champions of Europe handed a fierce lesson to Northampton Saints at Franklins Gardens, which helped earn them the tag as tournament favourites.

They must now welcome the Saints to an expected sold-out Aviva Stadium this weekend and Murphy has warned the job is not yet done.

“The lads are pretty happy obviously with the result at the weekend, but its back down to business now and getting ready for Saturday,” Murphy said.

Despite his warning, the kicking coach said today that it wouldn’t take the players long to come down from their cloud and adjust for the next game.

“From the final whistle, they were trying to recover and get themselves ready for this week, we’ve had a couple of good review sessions this morning in relation to the game with things we have done well and things we have done better and now it’s just a case of pushing on,” Richie said.

On the injury front, Leinster management hope to be able to retain most, if not all of their matchday squad from the weekend for the Aviva showdown, with Cian Healy the only main concern.

He has a leg injury which has been scanned, the results of which are unknown but he should be good to go.

Murphy said: "Injuries are pretty good, Sean O’Brien came off with a dead leg but he should be grand, Dave Kearney will be alright but our only concern is Cian Healy.”

“Cian has a brace on his leg but that’s purely precautionary, sometimes injuries look worse than they are, at this stage we just can’t say because we just don’t know,” he added.
