Santiago Phelan has stepped down as head coach of Argentina, the Argentinian Rugby Union (UAR) confirmed on Monday.

Santiago Phelan has stepped down as head coach of Argentina, the Argentinian Rugby Union (UAR) confirmed last night.

Phelan, who had been in charge of the Pumas for six years, announced his decision to resign to the governing body ahead of the November internationals, where Argentina will play England, Wales and Italy.
