Bowe blow for Lions

The British and Irish Lions have been dealt a third major blow after Ireland wing Tommy Bowe broke a bone in his hand during today’s 22-12 victory over Queensland Reds.

It now looks as though Bowe will join props Cian Healy (ankle ligaments) and Gethin Jenkins (calf muscle strain) in missing the rest of the Lions tour.

No decision has yet been taken on a possible replacement for Bowe, although Healy and Jenkins have been replaced by Alex Corbisiero and Ryan Grant.
