Elwood makes four changes for Treviso test

Connacht head coach Eric Elwood has made four personnel changes from the team that lost to Ulster last weekend for tomorrow’s RaboDirect PRO12 clash with Treviso at the Sadio di Monigo (8.30pm).

This match was rescheduled from 30th March when torrential rain prevented any play due to a waterlogged pitch.

Eoin Griffin, who picked up a knock during the Ulster game, has been ruled out of action this Friday night.

This season’s top try scorer Danie Poolman takes up the position at outside centre while 24-year-old Matt Healy is named on the right wing.

The Lansdowne back came on from the bench during last weekend’s defeat to league leaders Ulster.

Meanwhile, up front, Adrian Flavin makes way for Ethienne Reynecke at hooker.

Andrew Browne returns to the starting team at blindside flanker and is joined by fellow Galway native Eoin McKeon in the back row.

At the end of an injury-plagued season Connacht continue to be frustrated by absentees with Denis Buckley, Willie Faloon, Eoghan Grace, Jason Harris-Wright, Robbie Henshaw, Dave McSharry, Frank Murphy, Johnny O’Connor, Dave Nolan, Kyle Tonetti and Nathan White all on the injured list.

This is the last away game of the season before Connacht welcome 'top 4' team Glasgow Warriors to the Sportsground next Friday 3rd May.

These two games remain crucially important as the province pushes for a best ever finish in the league.

Connacht (v. Treviso): G Duffy (capt); M Healy, D Pooleman, B Murphy, F Vainikolo; D Parks, K Marmion; B Wilkinson, E Reynecke, R Loughney; M Swift, M McCarthy; A Browne, E McKeon, G Naoupu.

Replacements: A Flavin, R Ah You, JP Cooney, M Kearney, J Muldoon, P O’Donohoe, M Nikora, T O’Halloran.
