Dineen and Nagle extend Munster contracts

Second row Ian Nagle and centre Ivan Dineen have committed their immediate futures to Munster, singing one-year and two-year contract extensions respectively.

Nagle has endured a frustrating time with injury of late, needing surgery to correct a shoulder problem last summer but has done enough since his return to earn a one year extension.

Having played a big role for Munster A last season in their victorious British and Irish Cup campaign, Cork Constitution back Dineen has seen more senior game time this season with his efforts earning him at least another two years with the province.

Elsewhere in the squad scrum-half Cathal Sheridan has progressed from a development to a full one year contract while Barry O'Mahony has extended his development contract for another season.

Academy players Cian Bohane (centre/wing), Duncan Casey (hooker), James Cronin (prop), Ronan O'Mahony (wing) and Niall Scannell (hooker) have all secured development contracts for season 2013/14.

One player who won’t be wearing the Munster red next season is winger Sean Scanlon, who has agreed to join Rotherham Titans at the end of the current season.
