White turns down England job
Jake White has ruled himself out of the running to become the next England head coach.
White’s employers at the ACT Brumbies confirmed yesterday he was interested in the England job after receiving an approach from the Rugby Football Union.
But South Africa’s World Cup-winning coach has pledged his future to the Brumbies, where he is eight months into a four-year contract.
White posted on Twitter: “Always hard turning down a chance to win a world cup, but rugby is about making the right decisions and that’s to stay with BrumbiesRugby”
