Williams and Robinson play part in Cardiff win

Martyn Williams and Harry Robinson scored the tries and the trusty boot of Dan Parks also played its part as Cardiff returned from northern Italy win a win in the Rabo Direct Pro12.

Williams and Robinson both touched down and Parks kicked a conversion and a penalty in the 20-13 victory.

Simon Picone and Brendan Williams both scored tries for Treviso and Willem De Waal also kicked a penalty for the home side.

Cardiff took the lead after 15 minutes through a Parks penalty before De Waal levelled with a kick of his own.

Cardiff were back in front when Richie Rees broke through the middle and fed Martyn Williams who sprinted over in the corner, Parks adding the difficult conversion.

Parks then intercepted and fed Robinson who also sprinted in at the corner to give the visitors a 17-3 half-time lead.

A Parks penalty early in the second half extended Cardiff’s lead before the home side piled on the pressure.

A driving set-piece five metres out rewarded Treviso as Picone touched down.

Brendan Williams added a second try for the home side shortly after which secured a losing bonus point for Treviso.
