Roberts and Priestland in for Wales

Flanker Dan Lydiate has been ruled out of Wales’ RBS 6 Nations opener against Ireland on Sunday due to an ankle injury, but centre Jamie Roberts and fly-half Rhys Priestland have recovered from knee injuries and will start, the Welsh Rugby Union have announced.

Wales have received a significant double boost ahead of Sunday’s RBS 6 Nations opener against Ireland with World Cup stars Rhys Priestland and Jamie Roberts both declared fit.

Fly-half Priestland and centre Roberts have recovered from knee injuries to take their places in coach Warren Gatland’s starting line-up at the Aviva Stadium.
