Muller maintaining focus after 'great performance'

Ulster captain Johann Muller refuses to lose sight of next weekend’s challenge after his side’s empathic 41-7 thrashing of the Leicester Tigers at Ravenhill on Friday night.

Tries from Craig Gilroy and Paul Marshall as well as a first half brace from winger Andrew Trimble saw Brian McLauhglin’s men secure a vital bonus point going into a tense final round of fixtures in Pool 4.

Clerment Auvergne’s 82-0 humiliation of Aironi has left the French outfit on 16 points, three behind Ulster at the top of the Pool.

Ulster’s South African skipper was understandably impressed by side’s display but stressed the need to come away from the Stade Marcel Michelin with some points next weekend to ensure qualification to the knockout stages.

"That was definitely one of our best performances in terms of taking our chances and the passion we showed,” Muller remarked.

"Ravenhill is always a good place for us to play, and the atmosphere was outstanding. The boys delivered a great performance.

"We said at half-time that the bonus point was on, and it was about being patient. We knew it might take 81 or 82 minutes, and the boys never stopped.

"But it doesn't mean anything unless we get some points in Clermont. We have to make sure we do what we have to do."
