Cronin happy to improve under Feek
Leinster and Ireland hooker Sean Cronin has praised the influence scrummaging coach Greg Feek has had on his game.
Cronin, who joined Leinster this season from rivals Connacht, has had to battle South African Richardt Strauss for a starting jersey but believes this competition along with the coaching methods implemented by Feek and co are making him a better player and he's caught the eye with impressive tries against Montpellier and Ulster.
The 25-year old Limerick man had worked under Feek with the international squad where the former All Black is deployed as Forwards Coach, but Cronin insists the extra exposure to Feek's training methods has proved very beneficial and not just to his scrummaging.
"It is excellent, especially when he came on board with the Irish squad," Cronin told the Irish Times. "It has been great to have a full-time scrum coach.
"I have learned a lot of things from him and tried to implement them. Even different areas around the pitch, he has been helping me with my throwing and breakdown work.
"My throwing has come on and I am happy with that. There is always stuff to be working on, especially with the coaching staff here under Joe.
"He is always looking for you to excel and be the best player you can be. There is no resting on your laurels."
