David Wallace has been left out of the Munster squad for the group stages of the Heineken Cup.

The veteran flanker was ruled-out for Ireland's World Cup squad with a serious knee ligament injury during their warm-up match against England and Munster have confirmed that he now won't be considered for any of their games in the pool stages.

Full-back Felix Jones and hooker Jerry Flannery have also been left out of the squad, but Flannery and fellow front-row forwards, Darragh Hurley and Peter Borlase could be drafted back into the panel after the opening two group games.

Irish international Conor Murray has been included in the province's Heineken Cup panel for the first time, along with fellow Academy graduates, Simon Zebo and John Ryan and new signings, Ian Keatley, BJ Botha and Will Chambers.
