Dragons to strong for Italians

Newport Gwent Dragons secured a comfortable but unspectacular win over Magners League whipping boys Aironi.

The Italians remain winless after another limp home display at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella but the Dragons may be disappointed to have scored just two tries, largely due to an low-scoring first half.

Jason Tovey was successful with two penalties and a conversion but missed with another two kicks and a drop goal.

Tito Tebaldi scored his side’s only points with a penalty of his own, though he also missed twice.

The tries came in the second half from Tom Riley and Aled Brew.
