Venter to leave Saracens post in January

Saracens today announced that Brendan Venter is to return to South Africa for family reasons, relinquishing his post as director of rugby.

Venter will continue to work at the club in the newly-created position of technical director, making frequent visits to London to fulfil his duties.

The change will take effect from January 9 with Mark McCall, currently first-team coach, promoted to the role of director of rugby.
