Springboks name side for Ireland clash

South Africa coach Peter De Villiers has announced his side that will face Ireland in the opening game of the 2010 Guinness series at the Aviva stadium on Saturday.

The Springboks have been beset by injuries during the build-up, meaning there is also a chance that youngster Patrick Lambie could play if Jean de Villiers fails a late fitness test.

The 20-year-old Sharks back is on stand-by in case the Western Province centre fails to overcome his groin problem.

Coach Peter de Villiers has also named two uncapped players amongst the replacements, where Willem Albert's (calf) is bracketed with Keegan Daniel and Labia with Lazy Move.

In total, the team shows eight changes to the one which last played against Australia during the Tri Nations, with Victor Mayfield captaining the world champions in the absence of injured John Smite.

Ulster's Ruan Pianaar has been named at scrum-half in the absence of the injured Fourie Du Preez.

The uncapped Deon Stegmann replaces Schalk Burger who withdrew from the squad this week.
