Graham makes the difference for Blackrock College
Dolphin 16 Blackrock College 21
A 70th-minute try from pack powerhouse Paul Graham confirmed Blackrock College as five-point victors over Dolphin at Musgrave Park today.
Graham's try proved to be the match winner as 'Rock were able to maintain possession in the dying minutes, frustrating the Corkmen into submission.
Missing the Munster-tied James Coughlan, Dolphin fell 10-0 behind when a terrific 60-metre run from Andrew Conway resulted in a try for the Leinster prospect.
Darragh Fitzpatrick added a conversion and penalty and 'Rock's lead looked a steady one, until Dolphin threatened just before half-time.
Their out-half and captain Barry Keeshan nailed a penalty, with Fitzpatrick scoring a second, and then in injury-time, Dolphin centre Eric Moloney broke through for a seven-pointer.
The second half was nip and tuck all the way as the place-kickers exchanged shots, leaving it tantalisingly poised at 16-16. Up stepped Graham to grab the points for Blackrock.
Scorers:
