Ulster full-back Cunningham retires

Ulster full-back Bryn Cunningham has retired from rugby due to a series of persistent injuries during the past 15 months.

Capped more than 150 times for Ulster, Cunningham said: "Since the first game of the Magners’ League campaign last season, injury has dominated my time as a player.

"Over the past 15 months I’ve worked incredibly hard and through considerable pain in order to regain full fitness but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

"Having to finally make the decision to call it quits and end my rugby career is the hardest thing I've ever had to do."
